The
Studio Maintenance and Troubleshooting Program
1 Week (38 Hours)
Designed
to broaden the skills and knowledge of the 5-Week graduate,
this optional program teaches the routine maintenance of recording
equipment and practical methods of finding and fixing common
technical problems. It also features exercises in equipment
installation and the basics of studio acoustics and design.
The
Advanced Recording Engineering and Music Production Program
1 Week (57 Hours)
This
optional program substantially extends the studio experience
of the 5-Week graduate. The Advanced studio sessions achieve
a higher performance standard, going further beyond the mechanics
of recording and deeper into the concerns of the record producer.
This additional experience also increases the student’s
speed and smoothness of equipment operation.
The
NewTech Audio Production Program
1 Week (36 Hours)
Graduates
of the 5-Week and Advanced Programs will already have gained
much experience in using computers for audio production, however
the NewTech Program builds upon this foundation in several important
ways. It offers exercises in the assembly, setup and troubleshooting
of computer-based audio production systems. And NewTech features
several studio projects that feature the most sophisticated
use of these systems, including music, 5.1 surround sound-for-picture
and CD mastering.
