In midtown Manhattan, NYC, Rob Fielack is an engineer, sound designer and senior partner at Nutmeg Audio Post. Nutmeg is one of New York's most successful studios specializing in audio post production and sound design for film, television, radio and video. Their client list include The Apprentice, Fairly Odd Parents as well as ad spots for Burger King, British Airways, Heineken and Volkswagon. 


With over 30 gold and platinum awards to his credit, Joe Smith continues to use his considerable audio chops to bring CD's, music projects and special events to life. Recently, Joe has been working with Disney on Pirates of the Caribbean, a new project for Cirque du Soleil and producing a CD for Grizz in NYC. Joe has engineered, mixed and produced projects for NSync, Lisa Loeb, Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore and The Quad City DJ's among others.

Toby

Nashville, TN, is home to Mills Logan who engineered and mixed tracks for Toby Keith's current multi-platinum offering "White Trash With Money" as well as Lyric Street Records release: "Me and My Gang" by Rascal Flatts. Mills is one of Music City's "go to" guys and has worked on projects for Kenny Rogers, Trent Tomlinson as well as rockers Sister Hazel and Collective Soul.


In beautiful Brooklyn, CT, Michael Hopkins owns Ascension Studios with Rickie Lee Racicot. He won a Grammy for his engineering work on "Timeless" by Hank Williams, was nominated for another Grammy for recording Lynn Marie and The Boxhounds for Best Polka Album and recorded Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw and more. Michael's skills are not limited to music projects, he has also provided audio enhancements for the films "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Serendipity" and recorded audio for numerous commercials for McDonalds, Toyota, Arby's and others.

In Cleveland, OH, Jim Stewart is a staff engineer at Metrosync Studios. Jim recently completed tracking vocals for an upcoming release for Eddie LeVert which he made with existing tracks of songs by his late son, Gerald LeVert. The CD was produced by longtime creative partner Tony Nichols for Trevel Productions to be released on Atlantic Records. Jim also tracks live shows for the legendary Agora Ballroom, including recent shows for Hatebreed and 30 Seconds to Mars.


In LA, CA, Nick Braun works at Westlake Audio, one of the most prominent studios in the world. Westlake’s client list reads like a who’s who of the recording industry. Recent clients include Three Doors Down, Faith Hill, Slayer, and Britney Spears tracking for an upcoming release.

In Los Angeles, CA, Jason Carson is the chief technician at The Record Plant.
For 30 years, The Record Plant has been home for landmark recordings by everyone from Jimi Hendrix to The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Eminem and more. Also working at The Record Plant is Geoff Godfrey. Geoff has assisted on recent sessions for Snoop Dogg, NERD and Justin Timberlake.

Based in Albuquerque, NM, Kindel Wilemon continues to have success with her band Liquefaction who was a finalist in the 2006 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for the song “Pressure” in the Electronic category.

In Boston, MA, Jonathan Wyner engineered, produced and mixed in 5.1 surround sound a live DVD for Deborah Henson-Coanant entitled: "Invention and Alchemy" that garnered a Grammy Nomination for Best Classical Crossover Album and is currently being aired on PBS. Also doing big things with his mastering facility called MWorks, Jonathan is mastering and restoring the audio from concert promoter Bill Graham aka "Wolfgang's Vault". Included are concerts by Cream, CSNY, Bruce Springsteen, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Paul McCartney, Little Feat, Bob Marley, George Harrison, Steppenwolf and many other household names. Jonathan has also mastered projects for Aerosmith and Eric Clapton and a host of others.


Based in Cleveland, OH, Bill McKinney is the chief technician for Telarc Records International. Telarc is home to over 700 titles of Classical, Jazz & Blues. Telarc won a Grammy this year including Best Engineered Album, Classical (Paavo Jarvi and CSO), an album Bill assisted on. In addition, Bill recently did the in-house tech and set-up for mix sessions with John Pizzarelli, The Jaco Pastorious Band and remote recordings of the Cincinnati Pops and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

Doc Wiley - Engineer/Producer

Based in sunny Miami, FL, Doc Wiley recently won a Grammy for engineering “Best Salsa/Merengue Album” for “Son del Alma” by Sony artist Willy Chinno using his Digidesign Icon D-Control. Doc has enjoyed a long successful career in music as a producer and recording engineer and was one of the first studio owners in the world to use Pro Tools to track major label releases. 


Based in Philadelphia, PA, Jon Smeltz is a much-in-demand freelance engineer. His current projects include recording Al Green at Legacy Recording Studios (formerly Right Track) in NYC. Jon also has an upcoming project with The Roots, with whom his previous work received much acclaim. Jon’s mixes have been on several Grammy Award nominated CD’s, including Usher’s “Confessions" and India Arie’s “Acoustic Soul".

In New York City, Jordan Kuker did an internship with MTV which included working at the Video Music Awards. The internship also consisted on making daily deliveries to various record labels throughout the city including Sony, RCA, Columbia, Island/Def Jam, Jive and Interscope.

in Seattle, WA, is home to staff engineer Justin Friesen. Electro Kitty just received a Double Platinum Award for cutting vocals on Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts". This room is a favorite of producers Joe Chiccarelli (Elton John, Beck) and Bob Power (Erykah Badu, A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul). EQ Magazine’s “Room With a VU”.

Drive By Truckers

In Athens, GA, Dave Barbe produced and engineered the latest release by Drive By Truckers entitled “A Blessing and a Curse”. This New West artist has become a critic’s favorite and touring the nation with The Black Crowes and Robert Randolph & The Family Band. Dave has been instrumental in the success of DBT, producing and engineering their two previous efforts “The Dirty South” and “Decoration Day”. In addition, Dave has produced many other projects as well as writing for K.D. Lang and being a member of Sugar with Bob Mould of Husker Du.   


In San Francisco, CA, recent grad Ron Robinson, Jr. is now working at The Plant Studios. This legendary and vibrant studio birthed a goodly portion of the soundtrack of american music including Stevie Wonder “Songs in the Key of Life”, Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumors”, and lots of others from Dave Mathews Band, Metallica, John Lee Hooker and more.

Based in Nashville, TN, Joe Keiser mixed FOH for the Australian and Tazmanian legs of Keith Urban's "Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Carnival Ride" World Tour that was recently featured in Mix Magazine. He is pictured here at a DiGiCo D5 Console mixing The Sydney Opera House. Working for live sound giant Clair Brothers, Joe has mixed shows for Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, Little Big Town, Sheryl Crow, Limp Bizkit, OAR, Michael Buble, Shania Twain, and Stevie Wonder among others.


In Atlanta, GA, Kellee Ross has worked in many areas of the music business including Dallas Austin’s Studio, EMI, The Atlanta Grammy Chapter of NARAS, and performance rights organization SESAC.

In Brussels, Belgium, Bjorn Raes is a freelance engineer specializing in audio for television broadcast. He is currently working on the Belgium version of the TV show "Deal or No Deal". Bjorn has also worked extensively with Amplin/VTM Television recording and mixing audio for events throughout Europe including a live event starring Pink for Q-Music and the Tour de France for HBO.

In Kansas City, MO, Forest Jones is working for Forerunner Music Group as an engineer in their production studio including live studio mixes for international satellite TV. Some of the bands and producers he has worked with are Merchant Band, Luke Wood, Josh Motlong, Beau Miller, and Marcus Meier.

In Milwaukee, WI, Jim Bartz has invented a custom 40-string music instrument designed for advancing future music in 5.1 Surround Sound. It is call The Stringstation. (www.stringstation.com). Jim is also a producer/engineer and a former Passport/Audion recording artist and was signed as a guitarist by Larry Fast of Peter Gabriel’s band. 


In Ft. Myers, FL, Rob Robinson owns Studio Sea with partners Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd and manager Al Nalli. Rob has earned two gold records for engineering Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “live From Steeltown” and “Vicious Cycle”. He also produced a remake of the Skynyrd classic “Gimme Back My Bullets” featuring Kid Rock.

In Copenhagen, Denmark, Jesper Bay has enjoyed a long career in Danish music business. Although he produced projects early on in recording studios, most of his work has been within A&R, record company management, artist management, show and event production etc. Jesper is currently marketing director at IFPI Denmark – the Danish affiliate of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.


In Atlanta, GA Jimmy Guthrie is a senior sound designer/audio post engineer for Turner Studios which includes The Cartoon Network, TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies. Jimmy is currently recording Andre Benjamin's new cartoon project starring Andre and TLC's T-Boz.

Deftones
The Deftones

Ryan Gorman is now living and working in Southern California. He engineered the new studio album by The Deftones entitled "Saturday Night Wrist". Ryan recorded this CD at Airport Studios in Burbank with Shaun Lopez producing.


Working for live sound giant Clair Brothers and based in Music City, Dustin Ponscheck has worked on hundreds of shows, tours and events. Most recently he has mixed monitors for Beck.

Working at Reflection Sound Studio in Charlotte, NC, Michael Pepe has been helping out on sessions with Bruce Irvine, Don Dixon, Mark Williams, and Bob Engel, as well as gospel singer Vanessa Bell Armstrong, American Idol Fantasia Barrino, Anthony Hamilton and Tarsha McMillian.


Barbershop Studios is located on beautiful Lake Hoptacong, NJ, and was recently featured on the cover of Mix Magazine. RecW grad Austin Briggs works at this Francis Manzella designed studio which is owned by Scott Barber and Mark Salamone.

Effenel

Based in New York City, recent grad Andrew Maynard works for Effanel Music. One of the world’s leading, live music, remote and mobile recording specialists, Effanel is at the top of the list for many of today’s premiere artists, producers and labels. Andrew recently helped record The Grammy Awards as a Pro Tools engineer. They used 3 trucks with 232 inputs of Pro Tools in Dolby 5.1 to the main truck alone. Effanel has a huge list of credits / clients that include U2, JLo, Shania Twain, Ludacris, Los Lonely Boys, and a ton of others.


In Atlanta, GA, Travis “Shades” Robeson is engineering at Tree Sound Studios. Travis assisted on the “Chicken and Beer” CD for Ludacris and on session work for Andre 2000/Big Boi/Outkast and The Indigo Girls.

Dubway

In Manhattan, NYC, John David Hahs is doing an internship at Dubway Studios. They do all of the music and dialogue recording for The Backyardigans, a children's show on Nick Jr and also also record VH1 Live.


In Franklin, TN, Eric Elwell is the studio manager at Paragon Studios. One of the premiere rooms in the Nashville area, Paragon is a world-class studio with a client list that includes, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton and producers Dan Huff, Paul Worley and lots of others.
