Studios E & F

Recording Workshop Studio EStudio E This studio is designed and equipped to handle sound-for-picture projects as done in a well-appointed audio suite of a film/video production company. An elegant Digidesign Control|24 provides the console functions for a powerful Pro Tools HD3 system. A Power Mac G5 driving dual LCD monitors serves as the room’s engine, complete with DVD authoring and burning as an option for finished projects. A Hafler 5.1 surround sound system pumps up the volume to match the big screen impact of video beaming from a ceiling-mounted Sanyo projector. Bring your own popcorn.

Studio FStudio F Audio mastering is the specialization of this studio, which presents a computer-based approach towards this crucial stage between final mixing and CD replication.Editing is done with BIAS Peak, and much of the mastering magic is delivered by signal processing plug-ins. Leading this list are the Linear Phase Equalizer, Linear Phase Multiband and L2 Ultramaximizer, all parts of the Waves MastersBundle. DSP heavy lifting is done by a Power Mac G5 and KRK monitors allow for detailed listening, which makes Studio F an excellent location for student mix critiques.
